Frank Kuruc, born on February 23, 1961 in Trenčín, Slovakia, is a German jazz guitarist. He studied classical guitar at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Kuruc initially worked as a soloist in classical music and as a studio musician for artists such as Mikis Theodorakis and Katia and Marielle Labèque. In jazz, he collaborated with notable figures like Hans Koller, Peter Herbolzheimer, Till Brönner, Nils Landgren, Paquito D’Rivera, and Billy Cobham. Since 2004, he has been a professor for jazz guitar and ensemble leadership at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim. He led his own groups and toured internationally with Wolfgang Haffner from 2005 to 2006. Kuruc was also part of the United Jazz + Rock Ensemble.
