Paul Piot, born on April 30, 1924, in Avignon, France, was a French composer, musician, and music producer. He was one of the earliest producers for Dick Rivers. As a jazz musician, Piot composed numerous instrumentals during the 1970s and 1980s, including several television theme songs. Notably, he created "Loto loterie," the theme for the French lottery show Le Loto. His work in film includes scores for Les Quatre Charlots mousquetaires (1974), À nous quatre, Cardinal ! (1974), Les Bidasses s'en vont en guerre (1974), Bons baisers de Hong Kong (1975), Et vive la liberté ! (1978), and Devil Story (Il était une fois le diable, 1986). Piot passed away on February 27, 2004, in Saint-Nazaire, France.
