Angelika Express is a band founded in 2002 by Robert Drakogiannakis. The German band initially released songs on their website before debuting with the album Angelika Express (2003) through the Wuppertal-based label Paul. Early releases like the EP Ich bin kein Amerikaner (2003) and the album Alltag für alle (2004) were well-received in the independent music scene. The band disbanded in August 2005, with Drakogiannakis continuing as Planetakis and other members forming Overschmidt. Angelika Express reunited in 2008 with new members Daniela Hilterhaus and Mirco Cardeneo, releasing Goldener Trash (2009) through crowdfunding. Subsequent albums included Die dunkle Seite der Macht (2010) and Alkohol (February 2016). The band released Positiver Stress in 2020, which was well-received by the music press.
