Hyper Static Union is an American Christian alternative rock band formed in Camas, Washington. The group included frontman Shawn Lewis, Bryan Albrechtson, Ray Burnham, Andy Bell, Joseph Schlegel, and Mike Jackson. Their musical journey began with self-released albums such as Hyper Static Union (1998) and Old School Tracks (2003). The band's breakthrough came with the release of their studio album, Lifegiver, in 2006, produced by Mac Powell of Third Day. The album featured the hit single "Praying for Sunny Days", which became the ninth-most played song of 2006 on CHR radio and the most played new artist track for CHR in that year. Following Lifegiver, Hyper Static Union released Meet Him in the Air (2008). Tragically, Bryan Albrechtson passed away on October 13, 2011, and a concert was held in Camas in his honor.
