Lorne Alistair Tennant, born in London, United Kingdom, is a British soul singer and vocal producer. Tennant began his career as a session vocalist and songwriter, releasing the EP Feelin' You in 1998 before signing with Polydor and issuing the album Crucial under the name Ali, which included the single "Bitter Honey". After the album’s modest chart performance, he shifted focus to songwriting, earning credits on 17 top‑ten albums, seven of which reached number one, and on four singles, one debuting at number one. From 2010 onward, Tennant worked as a vocal coach for The X Factor and The Voice UK, while producing for high‑profile artists such as Jessie J, David Guetta, JLS, The Saturdays, and Olly Murs. His contributions have consistently supported chart‑success projects and shaped contemporary pop vocal production.
