Galandum Galundaina, a Portuguese traditional folk band from Miranda do Douro, was formed in 1996 to preserve and promote the region's musical heritage. The group's members, hailing from Terras de Miranda, learned traditional music through their families and local musicians. Their repertoire featured traditional melodies with modern arrangements, performed on instruments like the mirandese bagpipe and shepherd's flute. The band released their debut album L Purmeiro in 2002 and followed it with Modas i anzonas in 2005, which was recognized as one of the best Portuguese albums of that year. They continued with Senhor Galandum in 2009 and Quatrada in 2015. Notable achievements include winning the Best Traditional Demo Award at the Maqueta Awards 1999 and the Megaphone Award for Music in 2010.
