Hayk Borisi "Hayko" Hakobyan, born on August 25, 1973, in Yerevan, Armenia, was an Armenian singer and songwriter. He graduated from R. Melikyan Music College and began his music career in 1996 with the song "Love." Hayko's breakthrough came when he won Armenia's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with "Anytime You Need," placing eighth in the final. His musical journey included notable albums such as Romance (2000), Norits (2004), and Live (2003). He won multiple Armenian Music Awards, including Best Singer in 2003 and 2006, and Best Pop Contemporary Album in 2007. Hayko passed away on September 29, 2021, in Yerevan after contracting COVID-19 during the pandemic; he also had cancer.
