Jocasta were a Britpop group formed in London in 1994, comprising Tim Arnold (vocals, guitar and piano), Jack Reynolds (lead guitar), Adrian Meehan (drums) and Andy Lewis (bass guitar); the band emerged from a shared school history and an early Soho collaboration between Tim Arnold and Jack Reynolds. Their first releases were the singles "Go" (4 March 1996) and "Change Me" (20 May 1996) issued through V4 Records, which garnered modest attention on the UK Singles Chart. In early 1996 the group secured a worldwide deal with Sony via Sony LRD and subsequently moved to Epic Records, where they released "Something To Say" and re‑issued the earlier singles; the reissues of "Go" and "Change Me" entered the UK Singles Chart, with "Go" reaching number 50 and "Change Me" reaching number 60 in 1997, supported by BBC Radio One airplay and television appearances. In June 1997 the debut album No Coincidence was released, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, but Sony terminated the contract on the day of release, and the band dissolved shortly thereafter; Tim Arnold later pursued a solo career. The group’s brief discography, marked by early chart placements and a notable collaboration with a major symphony orchestra, remains a concise snapshot of mid‑1990s Britpop activity.
