Ivan & The Parazol, a Hungarian indie-garage rock band, was formed in Budapest in 2010 by Iván Vitáris (vocals), Máté Balla (guitars), János Tarnai (bass), István Beke (keyboards), and Bálint Simon (drums). The band's early breakthrough came with the release of their first EP, Yellow Flavour, in January 2012. Their debut full-length album, "Mama Don't You Recognize Ivan & The Parazol?" was released in September 2012 and produced by Zoltán Takács at Abnormal Studios in Budapest. In March 2013, the band performed at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. Their song "Take My Hand" became a Number 1 hit on MR2 Petőfi Rádió for ten weeks. The band's second album, Mode Bizarre, was released in May 2014 and their third album, Exotic Post Traumatic, followed in 2019. Ivan & The Parazol have played numerous gigs across Hungary and Europe, including performances at the Sziget Festival.
