Kendra Shank, born April 23, 1958 in Woodland, California, is an American jazz singer and guitarist. She started as a folk singer before transitioning to jazz during her time in Paris, performing with Claudine François and Jim Pepper. In 1989, she studied with Jay Clayton at Cornish College of the Arts. She went on tour with Bob Dorough in the 1990s and her debut album, Afterglow, was released in 1994 on the Mapleshade label, featuring Shirley Horn and a cover of "Almost Blue" by Elvis Costello. Subsequent albums include Wish (1998) and Reflections (2000).
