Na Na, a Soviet and Russian boy band, was founded in 1989 by manager Bari Alibasov. The group gained early recognition at the 1989 international pop music festival "Face to Face" in Moscow, where they performed "Devchonka s Mashmeta" and "Pustynny Plyazh." In 1990, Na Na won the 50x50 music show with "Babushka Yaga" and released their first full album Na-Na 91 in 1991. The group's controversial performances solidified their fame, leading to international tours. Notable achievements include winning the Russian national music award Ovatsiya for "Faina" in 1994.
