Bossanova was a Canadian musical group from Vancouver, formed in 1997. The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Chris Storrow, bassist Michael Boegh, drummer Tony Koelwyn, and Greg Macdonald on organ and synthesizer. Bossanova began their career playing local clubs and bars, showcasing songs written by Storrow. Their initial releases included the 7" single Bossanova, followed by an EP titled I Give You...Bossanova in 1997. The group signed with Teenbeat Records, contributing to several compilations such as Amateurs on Plastic (2000). In 2006, Bossanova released their album Hey, Sugar, which received airplay on campus and community radio. The band traveled to Washington, D.C., in 2010 for a show organized by Teenbeat Records. Following this, Storrow moved to Montreal and embarked on a solo career.
