Kerfuffle, a four-piece English folk band, was formed in 2001 around the East Midlands and South Yorkshire regions of the UK. The initial lineup included Hannah James, Sam Sweeney, Tom Sweeney, and Chris Thornton-Smith. Kerfuffle's first significant achievement came with winning the under-18 category of the 2002 Wiltshire Folk Association Young Folk Award. Their debut album, Not to Scale, was released in June 2003 on RootBeat Records. The band's subsequent albums included K2 (2004), Links (2006), and To the Ground (2008). In late 2007, Jamie Roberts replaced Chris Thornton-Smith as guitarist. Kerfuffle disbanded in August 2010 after a final performance at Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Notable achievements include being finalists in the 2005 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award and performing at various prestigious festivals such as Sidmouth Festival and Fairport's Cropredy Convention.
