Richard Digance, born February 24, 1949, in Plaistow, East London, is an English comedian and folk singer. After studying mechanical engineering in Glasgow, he began his music career as a member of the British folk band Pisces, who released their self-titled album in 1971. In the 1970s, Digance toured extensively, supporting artists such as Steve Martin and Jethro Tull. From 1974 to 1978, Doug Morter joined him as an accompanist on vocals and guitar. In October 2003, he received the Gold Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for his services to music.
