Hnos. Miño Naranjo, a duo from Ambato, Ecuador, were formed in 1958 by brothers Luis Eduardo Miño Naranjo and Héctor Danilo Miño Naranjo. Their musical journey began with local performances before gaining recognition after winning a festival on Radio Tarqui in Quito. The duo's breakthrough came in 1964 when they won four gold medals for their performance of "Tú y yo" by Manuel Coello at the II Festival de la Canción Iberoamericana in Barcelona, Spain. Throughout their career, Hnos. Miño Naranjo released several albums including Folklore Ecuatoriano (1970), Invernal (1971), and Escuchemos Pasillos (1975). They collaborated with notable artists such as Patricia Gonzales, Los Brillantes, Pepe Marcos, Don Medardo y sus Player's, and Julio Jaramillo. Luis Eduardo Miño Naranjo passed away on June 12, 2025.
