The roots of Sigilo trace back to 2014, when its sole creator began his journey through the bleak and transformative world of Black Metal. Early experiments took form in various projects, with Mournkind standing out as the most significant—an outlet where raw emotion and sonic exploration collided.
In 2019, Mournkind was laid to rest. From its demise emerged Sigilo, a new embodiment of vision, purpose, and spiritual clarity. Where past efforts were trials of fire, Sigilo became the refinement of those flames—focused, introspective, and unyielding in its intent.
A major step forward came with a signing to Alma Mater Records, leading to the release of the split "Sermão" alongside Luxúria de Lillith. This marked Sigilo’s emergence into the broader Black Metal landscape—distinct in its sound, but deeply rooted in the genre’s essence.
Now, as Sigilo approaches over a decade of relentless creation, the forthcoming debut album "Gloria ad Inferi" will serve as both a milestone and a manifesto: a fierce, solitary declaration forged in silence, shadow, and unwavering dedication to the black flame.
