Streetmark, a progressive rock group from Düsseldorf, Germany, was formed in 1968. The band initially consisted of Dorothea Raukes on keyboards and brothers Thomas and Bernd Schreiber on guitars. Streetmark began their career by performing cover songs of artists such as the Beatles, John Mayall, and Deep Purple. In 1976, they released their first album Nordland, which marked their signing with Sky Records in Hamburg. The band's lineup frequently changed over the years, with Raukes and Thomas Schreiber remaining as core members. Their second album, Eileen (1977), was followed by Dry (1979) and Sky Racer (1980). Streetmark achieved success with the single "Lovers" (1979), which charted in Germany.
