Surfact, a Danish rock band formed in 2003, gained initial recognition in 2006 when they won the Starfighters competition. Their debut release From Birth was self-published that same year, followed by their first album Terrific Downfall (2007). Surfact did not achieve commercial success until 2009 with their second album Euphoria, which featured hit singles "Absolutely Shameless" and "All Night Overload". The band toured extensively across Europe and the United States, gaining significant popularity in Scandinavia.
