Reg Meuross (born Reginald Lawrence Meuross in Stockton-on-Trees, January 5, 1953) is a British folk singer acclaimed for his fine songwriting, soft, clear voice and ability to tell stories that are both deeply human and universal. Since the 1980s, he has embodied an intimate, narrative and committed style of folk, faithful to the British tradition yet rooted in contemporary concerns. His career began with the group The Panic Brothers, formed with Richard Morton in 1985, a duo acclaimed for their blend of country-folk and satirical humor. After their split in the early 1990s, Meuross went solo, developing a more introspective, poetic style. Since his 1996 debut The Goodbye Hat, Reg Meuross has recorded some fifteen albums, including Dragonfly (2008), Faraway People (2017), Raw (2019), Songs of Love & Death with Harbottle & Jonas (2021) and Stolen from God (2023). In 2025, he returns to the repertoire of American pioneer Woody Guthrie with Fire & Dust: A Woody Guthrie Story.
