Juan Carlos Garvayo, born on September 15, 1969 in Motril, Granada, Spain, is a pianist and composer. He began his musical studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Granada before moving to the United States in 1988 to study at Rutgers University and the State University of New York. Garvayo's career as a soloist and member of the Arbós Trio has seen him perform internationally across over 30 countries, collaborating with notable orchestras such as the National Orchestra of Spain and New American Chamber Orchestra. Notable recordings include Manantial de Luz (2009) and En la Alhambra (2014). He has also taught at institutions including the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid and the Salamanca Conservatory of Music.
