Fierce, a British three-piece all-girl R&B group consisting of Chantel Alleyne, Aisha Peters, and Sabrina Weathers, was formed in 1998. The trio gained initial recognition with their debut single "Dayz Like That" in 1999. Fierce's breakthrough came with the release of their first album Right Here Right Now on August 16, 1999, under Wildstar Records, a label founded by Colin Lester and Ian McAndrew. The album featured the hit single "Sweet Love 2K", a cover of Anita Baker's "Sweet Love" produced by Stargate. This version reached significant chart success and became one of their most notable tracks. In January 2000, they released the mini-album Sweet Love 2K, further solidifying their presence in the UK music scene. The group also released the single "Carrier / Bermuda" on April 7, 2003. Fierce's music was characterized by its contemporary R&B and soul influences, which resonated with audiences during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group's ability to blend powerful vocals with catchy melodies made them a standout act in the UK music landscape. Throughout their career, Fierce performed at various venues and events, gaining a dedicated fan base. Despite splitting up in 2000, their impact on the R&B genre was notable, as they contributed to the growing popularity of all-girl groups during this period.
