George Blondheim was a Canadian jazz musician and composer from Edmonton, Alberta. He is noted for his work composing music for film and television, including Angel Square, for which he won the Genie Award for Best Original Song at the 12th Genie Awards in 1991, and Whale Music, for which he was nominated for Best Original Score at the 15th Genie Awards in 1994. He also won two Gemini Awards for his television work, for The War Between Us (1995) and Da Vinci's Inquest. His film credits include titles such as The Jewel of the Nile (1985) and 9½ Weeks (1986). Blondheim also released recordings as a jazz musician, including the album A Little Christmas Jazz (1998).
