The Urban Folk Quartet, known as The UFQ, is a four-piece contemporary folk band formed in June 2009. They won the Spanish International Folk Competition in 2009 and released their debut album The Urban Folk Quartet through Fellside Recordings in 2010, earning them The Hancock Award for Best Newcomer. Their first live album The Urban Folk Quartet: Live was released in 2011. They have performed at notable festivals such as Sidmouth Folk Festival Fringe and Fairport's Cropredy Convention. In 2024, they released their fourth studio album True Story.
