The Henry Girls is an Irish folk and roots music group from Malin, County Donegal, Ireland. The trio consists of sisters Karen, Lorna, and Joleen McLaughlin, all multi-instrumentalists who studied music at university level. Their debut album Between Us was released in 2003 and produced by Máire Breatnach. In 2010, they were nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Original Score for the film A Shine of Rainbows, which featured songs from their album Dawn (2009). The Henry Girls gained further recognition with the release of the album December Moon (2011), produced by Calum Malcolm. This album included a cover of "Watching the Detectives" by Elvis Costello. In early 2014, they released the album Louder Than Words. The group collaborated with notable artists such as Mary Black, Session Americana, Dónal Lunny, Moya Brennan, Jennifer Kimball, and The Fox Hunt. Other notable albums include Morning Rush (2007), Far Beyond the Stars (2017), the live album Shout Sister Shout (Performed Live by the Henry Girls) (2020), and A Time to Grow (2024), as well as the singles "Maybe" (2013), "The Weather" (2014), "A Time to Grow" (2023), and "Not Your Fight" (2023).
