Wuhling was a German noise-rock band from Berlin, formed in 1993 by the vocalist and guitarist Anne Rolfs and the drummer Frank Neumeier. Their debut project was released in 1994 on the Kitty-Yo label with the single “Du bist so weit weg”, featuring the track “Der Ort” on the B-side. Following the departure of the bassist Vicki Schmatolla, the founding duo recorded their first album, Spacebeige, as a duo in April 1995. They subsequently added the bassist Heike Marie Rädeker to the lineup. Their second single, “Mondsound”, led to a recording contract with the American label Touch and Go Records. The group traveled to Chicago to record their follow-up album, Extra 6, which was produced by Steve Albini and released in April 1997. Wuhling became inactive shortly after its release. In 2009, Rolfs resumed activity by collaborating with the jazz drummer Kevin Shea in the project Allroh.
