The Jompson Brothers was an American country rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2007. The group comprised Chris Stapleton on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Greg McKee on lead guitar, Bard McNamee on drums, and J.T. Cure on bass. After Stapleton departed the SteelDrivers in early 2010, the band began touring the southeastern United States, performing at a festival in Morehead, Kentucky where No Depression described them as the future of rock 'n' roll. In September 2010 they performed on the Zac Brown Band's Sailing Southern Ground Cruise, and in November 2010 independently released their self-titled debut studio album, The Jompson Brothers. The track “Secret Weapon” (2010) was used by country artist Jason Aldean as intro music for his live shows. The band remained active until 2013.
