Smile Smile was an American folk pop indie rock band based in Dallas, Texa, and consisted of Jencey Hirunrusme on piano and vocals, Ryan Hamilton on guitar and vocals, and various drummers. Their first full-length album, Blue Roses, was self-released in 2006 and later re-released by Kirtland Records in 2008. The album's track "Sad Song" was nominated for Best Folk Song at the Los Angeles Independent Music Awards, and Smile Smile were nominated for Best USA Artist at the Toronto Independent Music Awards. Blue Roses also featured songs like "Anymore" and "Stranger Across the Street", which aired on MTV's Next in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Their second studio album, Truth on Tape, was released in February 2010 under Kirtland Records, followed by their third studio album, Marry a Stranger, in August 2012. Smile Smile announced their breakup in 2013 and performed a farewell show on StageIt.
