Mt. Desolation, an English alternative country band formed in 2010, originated as a side-project of Keane members Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin during Keane's Perfect Symmetry World Tour in 2009. Their debut self-titled album, Mt. Desolation, was released on October 18, 2010, featuring contributions from various artists, including members of Noah and the Whale, The Killers, and Mumford & Sons. Following their debut show at The Lexington in London, Mt. Desolation toured the UK and supported Mumford & Sons in the US and Canada. Their next album, When the Night Calls, was released on May 25, 2018, followed by a short UK tour. In February 2023, they released the single "Sunrise" and released their third album, Through Crooked Aim, later that year.
