Declan Nerney, born circa 1959 in Drumlish, County Longford, Ireland, is an Irish singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey at the age of 16 with a local band called The Hi-Lows. His breakthrough came with the autobiographical song "The Marquee in Drumlish." Nerney’s early education included Ennybegs National School and St Mel's College in Longford. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with Henry McMahon on notable songs such as "Anna from Fermanagh" and "Gotta get up in the Mornin.'"
