Ben Parry, born in 1965 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, is a British musician known for his roles as a composer, conductor, singer, arranger, and producer. He began his career singing with The Swingle Singers, touring globally and collaborating with notable musicians such as Pierre Boulez and Luciano Berio. In 1994, Parry participated in the original London production of City of Angels at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Moving to Scotland in 1995, he co-founded the Dunedin Consort. He serves as director of London Voices, performing for films like The Hobbit, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. As a conductor, he worked with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. He appointed Anne Besford as chief executive of NYCGB in 2016 and served as artistic director and principal conductor until 2023.
