Haralds Sīmanis, born on June 12, 1951, in Cēsis, Latvia, was a Latvian singer. Self-taught on guitar and organ, he began collaborating with poet Arvīds Ulmi in the 1970s. Sīmanis's breakthrough came in 1980 with the performance of "Ezers" at the Mikrofona dziesmu aptaujas concert. Throughout his career, Sīmanis released several albums, including Es esmu rīts (2012). He collaborated with various artists and gained renewed recognition in 2012 when Agita Gabranova performed "Ezers" on LNT Latvijas Zelta talanti. Sīmanis passed away on December 1, 2022.
