Les Binuchards, a French folk rock group from Gémozac, Charente-Maritime, formed in 2000. The band's origins trace back to 1990 with the group Soho Side, featuring Jean-Christophe "J-C" Allain on guitar and Richard "Bane" Banessy on bass. After several lineup changes and the addition of Claude "Binuche" Primault on vocals and violin, they evolved into Les Binuchards in January 2000. The group blended Celtic, Cajun, and rock influences with a strong focus on Charentais folklore and the Saintongeais dialect. They released their debut album, Ô L'a Buffée!, in 2001. This was followed by releases such as Une vie (2012) and Un bon département (2016). They were known for their energetic live performances and humorous lyrics that often incorporated local expressions and themes. Their final concert took place at Périgny in early 2017, marking the end of their 17-year career.
