Christina Bjørkøe, born in 1970 in Copenhagen, Denmark, began her piano studies at age five with her mother. She later trained with Therese Koppel from 1978 to 1990 and continued her education at the Juilliard School in New York with Seymour Lipkin and at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Anne Øland. Bjørkøe made her debut as a soloist in 1987 and has since performed extensively across Denmark and internationally, including notable series at the Tivoli Concert Hall. She has collaborated with various orchestras such as the Czech Chamber Philharmonic and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. Bjørkøe is an assistant professor at the Carl Nielsen Academy of Music Odense. Her significant achievements include winning first prize in the Steinway Competition in 1987 and 1990, and receiving the Danish Music Award for her recording of Knudåge Riisager's piano music in 2005.
