Martin Stig Andersen, born in 1973 in Denmark, is a composer and sound designer known for his work on video game soundtracks. He studied orchestral composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and later pursued electro-acoustic composition at City University in London. Andersen's breakthrough came with his role as composer and sound designer for Limbo (2010), where he used abstract sounds to define the game's atmosphere. He directed the audio for Inside (2016), collaborating with SØS Gunver Ryberg on a soundtrack inspired by 1980s horror films. His innovative approach to sound design included techniques like routing bone-conducting sound through a human skull. He released the album Rabbit at the Airport (2006-2008).
