JD & The Straight Shot, a country blues and roots rock group from the United States, was formed in 2001 by frontman and guitarist James L. Dolan. The band's debut album, Nothing to Hide, was released in 2005. Subsequent albums include Right on Time (2008), Can't Make Tears (2011), Where I've Been (2014), Ballyhoo! (2016), Good Luck and Good Night (2017), and The Great Divide (2019). Their song Can't Make Tears was featured on the soundtrack for the TV show Hell on Wheels. JD & The Straight Shot has performed as an opening act for artists such as the Eagles, ZZ Top, Keith Urban, and others.
