Skull Fist, a Canadian heavy metal band, was formed in Toronto in 2006 by guitarist/singer Zach Slaughter. The group released their first demo, No False Metal, featuring "Ride the Beast" and "No False Metal", in the same year. Skull Fist experienced numerous lineup changes until 2010 when they signed with Noise Art Records following the release of the EP Heavier than Metal. Their debut album, Head of the Pack, was released in 2011, and received positive reviews globally. The band toured extensively across Canada, Europe, and other continents, sharing stages with notable acts such as Megadeth, W.A.S.P., and Uriah Heep. Their second album, Chasing the Dream, was released in 2014 and nominated for a Juno Award. Skull Fist's third studio album, Way of the Road, was released in 2018. The band released their fourth album, Paid in Full, in 2022.
