Jordan Beckett, known as Bootstraps, is an American musician and singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Influenced by Elliott Smith and Death Cab for Cutie, Beckett began his musical journey during college after a baseball injury led him to learn guitar. In 2012, Bootstraps released his self-titled debut album, which featured songs placed on TV shows such as Parenthood and Suits. In 2014, the album was re-released on Harvest Records. In 2013, he was named a Rising Star of Number 1 by a streaming platform. In 2016, Bootstraps released Homage, an album of cover songs that included a version of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" featured in Grey's Anatomy and Supergirl.
