Kelsey Waldon, born in Ballard County, Kentucky, is an American country singer and songwriter. Raised in Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky, she began playing guitar at age 13 as a coping mechanism for her parents' divorce. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, Waldon self-released four EPs: Dirty Feet, Dirty Hands (2007), Anchor in the Valley (2010), Anybody's Darlin' (2011), and Fixin' It Up (2012). Her debut LP, The Goldmine, was released in 2014. The album received critical acclaim from outlets such as Rolling Stone and The Fader. In 2016, she released her second full-length album, I've Got a Way. Waldon signed to John Prine's label Oh Boy Records in 2019, becoming the first artist in fifteen years to do so. Her subsequent releases include White Noise/White Lines (2019) and No Regular Dog (2022). She has performed with notable artists such as John Prine, Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, and Jamey Johnson.
