林伊佐緒 (Isao Hayashi), born on May 11, 1912, in Shimonoseki, Japan, was a singer and composer known for his contributions to ryūkōka and gunka genres. He began his career in 1931 with the release of "Tabi no Yado". In 1936, Hayashi signed with King Records. Throughout his career, he released notable songs such as "Shussei Heishi o Okuru Uta" (1939), "Dance Party no Yoru" (1950), and "Mamurogawa Bugi" (1954). Hayashi also composed songs for other artists, including "Nagasaki no Onna" for Hachirō Kasuga. He served as the president of the Association of Japanese Singers from 1989 until his death on September 29, 1995. His work continues to be celebrated through posthumous releases such as 全曲集 (1999) and 林伊佐緒のジャズ民謡集 (2008).
