Paolo Lazzarini was born in Rovigo in 1980. He began studying piano and violin at an early age. After graduating from the classical high school, he graduated in piano with honors from the “ Venezze" Conservatory of Rovigo. He then obtained his diploma in Music Didactics at the “A. Buzzolla" Conservatory of Adria. After following the masterclasses of Piero Rattalino and Andrea Lucchesini for classical piano, Danilo Rea and Riccardo Zegna for jazz piano, he obtained a diploma of specialization in chamber music at the prestigious “Academy of Florence"; under the guidance of Maestro Pier Narciso Masi. Therefore, at a very young age, he began an intense activity as a pianist, accompanist and chamber musician.
He performs in prestigious Italian and international theatres and concert halls (Teatro di Jesi, Municipal Theatre of Adria, Villa contarini - Piazzola sul Brenta -, Cala Galdana - Menorca -, International Cyprus College - Cyprus -, KURSAL theatre -Abano Terme -, Manzoni theatre, - Pistoia - , etc. . . ) also alongside prestigious national and international performers (G. Arbonelli, M. Giovannelli, Y. Miralis, M. Elia etc. . . ). In 2007 he performed the international premiere of Fabrizio Festa's piece “Omnia Mutantur". In parallel with his piano activity, he is dedicated to that of composer. He studies Harmony and counterpoint (with C. De Pirro and A. Guarnieri), reading of the score (with D. Vicentini and M. Candela), organ and organ composition (A. Macinanti). It follows the masterclasses of M° Aralla ( composition technologies ) and R. Serio ( arrangement ). In 2003 the piece “9/11" inspired by the tragic events of September 11th was selected by the commission of the international review for young composers “Alfeo Gigli" of Bologna and performed at Villa Mazzacorati in Bologna. He signs the soundtrack of numerous documentaries produced by the NGO association “CUAMM-"medici per l'africa" of Padua. In 2009 he signed the music for the documentary “La lunga notte" produced by “CUAMM of Padua, winner of the important international competition for short films “NGO World" in Milan.
He also signs the music for “ l'arte di leggere l'arte - incontri con Eugenio Riccomini” “ Bologna è medaglia d’oro al valor civile” and many other Italian documentaries often released with important national newspapers (“Il resto del carlino"). Coupled with Graziano Beggio (“Sintagma") he wins the prize for best interpretation and best lyrics at the “Premio musicale città di Jesi" for unpublished songs. The group is placed in 2nd place in the general classification. In 2012 Valle Giovanni edizioni musicali publishes his work “Reflections"; for piano solo. The album is released simultaneously in all digital stores around the world (itunes, Ovi, amazon, etc. . . ). It is the first of a long series that includes: “L’invenzione dei ricordi", “In volo”, “Notturni”, “Egli danza”, “Abbi cura dei sogni”. Since 2011 he has collaborated permanently with the Ferrara soprano Mara Paci and with numerous classical, pop and jazz ensembles.
