The ELISION Ensemble is an Australian chamber group specialising in contemporary classical music, founded in Melbourne in 1986. Established by Artistic Director Daryl Buckley and other musicians from the Victorian College of the Arts, the ensemble comprises around 20 musicians. ELISION maintains an active schedule of concerts, recordings, and cross-artform performances across Australia and Europe. In 2008, the group presented 36 individual works, including 11 world premieres, across 18 events in locations such as Brisbane, Berlin, and London. The ensemble collaborates with notable composers including Richard Barrett, Liza Lim, and Brian Ferneyhough, focusing on complex musical aesthetics. The ensemble's discography includes recordings such as Richard Barrett/Elision Ensemble from 1993 and the 2007 release Aldo Clementi: Works for Guitar. In 2018, the group conducted an international tour to Germany and Mexico.
