Tracy Shaw

Tracy Shaw, born 27 July 1973 in the United Kingdom, emerged from a family involved in the hotel and pub trade and received formal training in theatre studies at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester. Her foray into music began in 1997 with the release of the single "Happenin' All Over Again", a cover of Lonnie Gordon's top 10 hit, followed by the single "Ridin' High" in 1998 on Love This Records. These early releases positioned Shaw within the pop music scene, although they did not achieve significant chart success. In parallel with her music pursuits, Shaw maintained a presence on television, most notably portraying Maxine Peacock in the long-running soap opera Coronation Street until the character's death in 2003. After her departure from the show, she returned to acting in stage productions and national tours such as Mum's the Word (2010), Busy Body (2011) and The Cat and the Canary (2021). While her music career remained brief, her dual roles as singer and actress underscored her versatility within the British entertainment industry.
