Alex Smith, known by his stage name Particle, is a British drum'n'bass DJ and producer. Based in South London, he has released numerous singles since "Got You" in 2018, notably for the Critical label. In 2019, he produced an EP for the label's Binary series, Critical Presents: Binary, Vol. 18, followed by others entitled Empires EP (2019), Thermal EP (2020) and Audio Visual (2021). In 2021, he collaborated with Sam Binga on the Skrrrrr EP. His debut album, Pyro, was released in 2024 with contributions from Javeon, Inja, En:vy and Yaano. This was followed by the singles "A Moment with You" and "Visions" in 2025, "Soul Drifting" with Duskee in 2026 and the UK chart-topper "Blade" (#95 singles and #91 downloads).
