Cashma Hoody, a German music group from Frankfurt am Main, was formed in 1993 by Markos Mouzouris, Roosta (Tobias Hahn), John Abdelsayed, and Stefan Wißmann. Their unique sound, termed "trippin’ rock-reggae," blended rock, reggae, ska, dub, pop, ambient, and other genres. The band released their debut album Cashmahoody in 1994, followed by Pachuamama in 1996. In 2000, Cashma Hoody signed their first record deal with African Dance Records and released And the Light Within, which included their first German-language song "Deine Kraft". They toured extensively, playing over 500 concerts worldwide and performing at major festivals like Tollwood and Sound of Frankfurt. The band's subsequent albums include Hoodylicious (2002), Come Unity (2004), and Hear And Now (2006). Cashma Hoody disbanded in 2015 but reunited sporadically in 2018.
