Drag the River, formed in Colorado in 1996, is an American alternative country band. The group began when Chad Price of All met Jon Snodgrass of Armchair Martian, Paul Rucker, and J.J. Nobody of the Nobodys, and released Hobo's Demos in 2000. In 2002 they issued Closed and a live album, Live at the Starlight, adding steel guitarist Zach Boddicker. After lineup changes, they signed with Suburban Home Records in 2006 and released It’s Crazy in 2006, touring nationally. The band announced a breakup in May 2007, but reunited in 2008 for a tour and the release of You Can’t Live This Way in January of that year. Later releases include Drag the River (2013) and various split 7‑inches, while the group still performed as a duo.
