Trio Fado is a world music group based in Berlin, formed in 2002 by Maria Carvalho from Porto, António de Brito from Lisbon, and Daniel Pircher, an Austrian who partially grew up in Portugal. The trio released their debut album Com Que Voz in 2005. Following this release, Trio Fado performed extensively across Germany and embarked on their first international tour in 2005, which included five concerts in Armenia and television appearances. In 2005, they added cellist Benjamin Walbrodt to their lineup. In 2006, they released a mini-CD titled À Espera do Verão. With Walbrodt, they recorded two more albums: Portolisboa (2009) and Nunca é Tarde (2013). Trio Fado continued to perform internationally, touring in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia.
