Born Nicole Yongju Jung on 7 October 1991 in Glendale, California, Nicole Jung made her breakthrough as a member of South Korean girl group Kara, who were formed by DSP Media in 2007. She issued her solo mini album, First Romance, in 2014 via B2M Entertainment, which was propelled by the title song "MAMA." Expanding her profile to Japan, she debuted in the country with the single "Something Special" in 2015 and the follow-up, "Don't Stop," which arrived a year later. Her first Japanese album also landed that year, Bliss, which climbed to number 19 on Japan's Oricon chart. Two further Japanese singles emerged in the wake of Bliss: 2019's "Promise" and "Champions" (Prod.Tome&Jame). After a fresh signing to JWK Entertainment in 2022, Nicole Jung dropped a comeback single, "You.F.O."—her first release in Korea since 2014. "Mysterious" and "Selfish" followed in 2023.
