Dappled Cities is an Australian indie rock band formed in Australia in 1997. Originally known as Dappled Cities Fly, the group was established by Dave Rennick, Hugh Boyce, Alex Moore, and Tim Derricourt. Their first recording was the EP Chameleon Girl (2003). Their debut album, A Smile (2004), was followed by Granddance (2006) and Zounds (2009). Zounds reached number 48 on the Australian charts. The band's current lineup consists of Rennick, Derricourt, Ned Cooke, Allan Kumpulainen, and Mark Harding. Subsequent recordings include the albums Lake Air (2012), Five (2017), and The Aquarium (2026). The band performed at the South by Southwest festival in 2006, 2009, and 2010.
