Unni Løvlid, born on March 23, 1976, in Hornindal Municipality, Norway, is a Norwegian musician known for her contributions to folk music. Raised by a musically inclined family, Løvlid was taught traditional instruments and introduced to the local musical heritage. She studied at Firda Upper Secondary School, Toneheim Folk High School, and the Norwegian Academy of Music. In 2001, she co-founded the stage trio Fjøgl. Her solo career includes albums like So ro liten tull (1999), Vita (2005), Rite (2008), and Lux (2013). Løvlid won the Gammleng Award in the folk music category in 2007. She became head of the folk music section of the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2018.
