White Ghost Shivers, an American band originating from Austin, Texas, formed in 2000. The group was known for its eclectic blend of cabaret, jazz, vaudeville, hokum, western swing, hillbilly, jugband, and ragtime influences. Their debut album, Hokum If You Got 'em, was released in 2002. The band's unique sound quickly gained attention, leading to their first notable achievement: being declared "Best None of the Above" by the Austin Music Awards in 2005. They released Live on the Radio in 2005 and Everyone's Got Em in 2006. The band's members included Shorty Stump, Cella Blue, Smokebreak Slemenda/Detective Stain, Hot Thomas/Sleepytime T, Poppiticus/Ma poppitt, Ten-Penny Brown/Saturn, and Reese's Pieces/Baby-Faced Finster, each contributing to the group's distinctive musical style.
